Calories

It seems like a simple concept...in order to build mass, you must consume more calories than you use each day. To help meet this goal, use protein shakes to supplement your daily meals.

I also highly recommend using a site like fitday.com to track your calorie/protein/fat/carb consumption.

Insanity

I finish Insanity today! That's right, 2 full months of intense cardio and bodyweight exercises.

I have gotten great results from this program. I have lost approximately 10 lbs.

This program isn't easy. You will sweat a lot. You will feel like you want to stop doing it at times also. But, if you keep doing it...you will see results!

This book is a must have for anyone who is interested in Bodybuilding on any level!

It is the most thorough book that I have ever read on the subject of Bodybuilding. Covering topics ranging from the History of Bodybuilding to Nutrition to Training Systems...this book has it all! It ever covers posing for contests!

The book is well organized and even has detailed programs ranging from Beginning Programs to Advanced Training Programs. It also has pages and pages of pictures that detail exercises!

Diet Journal

A critical part of any diet program is keeping track of calories/carbs/protein/fat intake. A lot fitness programs fail simply because of the diet, not the exercise. There are many applications out there that will let you do this.

http://www.fitday.com/ is a free website that allows you to do this.

I highly recommend it!
